Zachary Geddis Trust’s Little Superstars Youth Service was launched in February 2022 as a response to our 2021 online and in person survey which highlighted community need for additional services to support children.
Our Little Superstars Service saw Zachary Geddis Trust accept referrals for children aged 5 and above with mental health needs along with ASD & ADHD diagnosis who have often been left out of traditional methods of intervention.
The success of our Little Superstars Service has been documented through our support in funding from BBC Children in Need which now will see the service operate until 2029 and beyond. We offer children with support through various methods such as:
- Little Superstars Summer Scheme
- Youth Counselling
- Mentoring
- Play Therapy
- Lego Therapy
- Drawing and Talking Therapy
- Resilience Programmes
- Music Therapy (Provided by Northern Ireland Music Therapy Trust)
Each child is allocated a space depending on circumstances and our groups operate in terms so every child has the opportunity to attend.
We currently accept and receive referrals from family members, schools, youth groups, GP services, mental health practitioners, family intervention teams, social workers, other outside agencies, and CAMHS.
The Little Superstar’s Service is overseen by Amy Adams BSc MScPsych and is reviewed annually based on the changing needs of the community.
