PRISM – LGBTQIA+ Services

PRISM – Proud, Reliable and Inclusive Support for Mental health is a dedicated youth support programme created by The Zachary Geddis Trust for young people.

The service was established in response to our community survey which highlighted a clear need for tailored support for LGBTQIA+ young people in the Coleraine area.

With no other LGBTQIA+-specific youth spaces available locally, PRISM was developed to provide a safe, inclusive environment where young people can feel accepted, supported, and valued for who they are.

PRISM offers a range of support to help young people build confidence and develop positive coping skills.

Our 1:1 mentoring service provides personalised support to help individuals navigate challenges in their personal, social, and emotional lives.

In addition, our LGBTQIA+ awareness-trained counsellors offer understanding, affirming, and confidential support to ensure every young person feels heard and respected.

The PRISM Youth Group is for young people aged 15-18. We meet on the first Friday of every month, from 5–7pm.

Sessions include creative arts and crafts, games, discussions, and social activities that encourage friendships and self-expression.

Throughout the year, the group also enjoys social events such as Halloween and Christmas parties, creative workshops, bowling trips, and opportunities to attend community events like Causeway Pride.
