Ending Violence Against Women & Girls – Funded Therapeutic Support

The Zachary Geddis Trust is delighted to have received funding through the Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Fund, supported by The Executive Office and Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council.

This funding allows us to provide a dedicated programme of free therapeutic support for children and young people who have experienced, witnessed or been affected by violence or abuse, helping them to process their experiences in a safe, supportive and age-appropriate environment.

Support available includes

Play Therapy

Children aged 5–11

A child-centred therapeutic intervention using play and creative approaches to help children explore difficult feelings and experiences in a way that feels safe and appropriate for their age.

Music Therapy

Children and young people aged 5–17

Creative therapeutic support delivered through music, providing children and young people with another way to communicate, express emotions and explore their experiences.

Youth Counselling

Young people aged 11–17

Confidential one-to-one therapeutic support providing young people with a safe space to talk, process their experiences and develop healthy coping strategies.

How to access support

Parents/carers, professionals and young people can access the programme through our dedicated EVAWG referral pathway.

Places are funded and therefore limited. Referrals are open now, with funded support available until 31 March 2027. We encourage referrals to be made as early as possible, as places may be allocated before the programme end date.

We are incredibly grateful to The Executive Office and Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council for making this support possible and investing in early, therapeutic intervention for children and young people affected by violence and abuse.
