Paul’s Paddle Fundraises £1742 for Zachary Geddis Trust!

Zachary Geddis Trust are thankful to Paul Moore, who raised an amazing £1742 in his 100KM Paddle in aid of our services, presenting the cheque last week.

We are so grateful for the dedication of Paul who openly expressed his gratitude for the support he received from the Zachary Geddis Trust.

Zachary Geddis Trust remains unfunded on the delivery of our key services such as our Little Superstars Service, Mens Support Hub and Adult Counselling so this amount will go towards supporting our clients.

Paul’s Paddle was an amazing personal challenge undertaken by Paul Moore, covering a massive 100KM by Kayak starting at 4.30pm from the River Maine on Thursday 22nd August.

Paul completed  the challenge on 22nd -24th August of paddling from his workplace in Ballymena, Wrightbus to his workplace in Kellys Portrush, using only the connecting rivers, lochs, estuaries and the sea to complete the trip.

This amazing journey covered a massive 100KM by Kayak starting at 4.30pm from the River Maine in 2 and a half days.

Paul finished his shift at Wrightbus and started his 48 hour journey to Portrush Harbour, camping along the riverside overnight.

A huge well done to Paul who completed his challenge  and made it to work at Kellys Complex, who supported us by collecting in their premises for Paul’s fundraiser.
We are extremely proud and hope he has enjoyed a much deserved rest after such a phenomenal achievement!

Paul decided to fundraise for ZGT to make a difference, within the services that are requested by the community and also to advocate for change within the current mental health system.

His aim was to break the silence on mental health issues, share personal experiences, thoughts and recommendations for a better future and fundraise for much needed mental health support in the local community.
