Our Youth Support worker, Amy visited the Coleraine CAMHS Team recently to talk about our Little Superstars service.
CAMHS refer service users regularly to ZGBTST and it was great to meet face to face and greet new members of the team.
Our Little Superstars have just completed a block of Lego therapy sessions with Amy and soon we will be providing Lego Therapy sessions in Dunluce School for students to avail of!
We are delighted to have helped young individuals across the borough gain confidence and coping skills.
Feedback on the sessions has been wonderful with parents commenting that it was a fantastic service, Amy was amazing and it had helped their child regain their confidence.
One parent said:
“On days when my child wasn’t in a good mood, they always came back feeling better.”
Another commented:
“It was an alternative and creative way for my child to spend their time, it opened conversation and was a great distraction method for anxiety.”
