The Zachary Geddis Trust celebrated World Mental Health Day on October 10

The Zachary Geddis Trust celebrated World Mental Health Day on October 10 by continuing to raise awareness and promote our services in schools across the borough.

Our youth worker, Amy was out and about this month, delivering free mental health workshops in schools across the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough.

Recently Amy visited Millburn PS and Castleroe PS and delivered workshops focused on the following topics:
  • Providing young people with the vocabulary to express their emotions and enable them to ask for support when they need it.
  • Teach young people how to positively manage their emotions, improve self esteem and strengthen self care capabilities.
  • Increase awareness of mental health and reduce stigma.
A huge thank you to both Millburn & Castleroe for having us.
This year’s World Mental Health Day topic is Improving Mental Health at Work.
We are proud to be collaborating with so many local businesses in 2024 to raise more awareness on Mental Health and it is great to see so many of them adapting their own mental health policies and support for their employees.

We work alongside many organisations who wish to take this positive step forward.

If you want to find out more about how we can help you implement and design your own mental health and wellbeing policy for your business, please get in touch.
