Frankie Creith Art in Portrush has raised £300 essential funds for ZGBTST!

Frankie Creith Art in Portrush has raised £300 essential funds for ZGBTST from her latest art collection Zachary Geddis Collection Postcards from Portrush after the success of a Swell Portrush initiative.

The unique collection, created to raise funds specifically for the charity, in memory of Zachary who was a talented art student at the London College of Fashion was a record sellout before Christmas.

The Postcards from Portrush exhibition was part of a Swell community event in 2023 which brought together artists from across the North Coast to raise funds for the Trust.

Frankie took part in the original exhibition and when she learned that Zachary had studied illustration, she was inspired to create six further artworks using mixed-media textiles and stitching to raise additional funds and awareness of the charity.

The collection features a series of six original mixed-media pieces which take inspiration from old black and white postcards of Portrush.

The layers of typical ‘postcard chat’ echo the notion of layers of time. Fabrics, thread, stitch, paint and a vintage postcard combine to create this mixed-media piece.

ZGBTST are very grateful to Frankie for her support.
