Paul’s Paddle Fundraises for ZGBTST!
Paul’s Paddle was an amazing personal challenge undertaken by Paul Moore, covering a massive 100KM by Kayak starting at 4.30pm from the River Maine on Thursday 22nd August.
Paul completed the challenge on 22nd -24th August of paddling from his workplace in Ballymena, Wrightbus to his workplace in Kellys Portrush, using only the connecting rivers, lochs, estuaries and the sea to complete the trip.
This amazing journey covered a massive 100KM by Kayak starting at 4.30pm from the River Maine in 2 and a half days, finishing his shift at Wrightbus and entering the water to start his 48 hour journey to Portrush Harbour, camping along the riverside overnight.
A huge well done to Paul who completed his challenge made it to work at Kellys Complex, who supported us by collecting in their premises for Paul’s fundraiser.
We are extremely proud and hope he has enjoyed a much deserved rest after such a phenomenal achievement!
Paul decided to fundraise for ZGBTST to make a difference, within the services that are requested by the community and also to advocate for change within the current mental health system.
He is paddling to break the silence on mental health issues and share personal experiences, thoughts and recommendations for a better future.
His aim is to fundraise for much needed mental health support in the local community.
This is an extremely heartfelt challenge that Paul is completing, all to raise funds for ZGBTST and we are so grateful for his support.
