Kilrea Mental Health Hub Drop In Hailed as Immediate Success

ZGBTST Pop Up Drop in Kilrea Mental Health Hub was hailed as an immediate success by the local community.

The new drop in mental health hub opened on Tuesday 9th January 2024 and will run for eight weeks.

It was established as a direct result of our Mental Health Action Day held in Kilrea in October in response to a mental health crisis in the community.

Kilrea residents were seeking guidance, support and intervention and back to back 1:1 sessions were held all day.

The pop up help service will be available in Kilrea Town Hall on Tuesdays from 10.30am – 12.30pm for 8 weeks from 9th January 2024.

Our dedicated youth support worker, Amy, will facilitate the next session.

With substantial experience in managing ZGBTST mental health youth support services, she will bring this knowledge to Kilrea in working with both young people and adults.

Each pop up is available for an initial 8 weeks with the potential to become a permanent feature depending upon community need.

This new community service is designed to provide short term crisis intervention, immediate service access, advocacy and advice.

We are delighted to bring ZGBTST services into the heart of your community!
