Children’s Mental Health Week 2026 – “This is My Place”

Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week 2026 theme is “This is My Place”. At the Zachary Geddis Trust, we’re celebrating by helping children feel heard, valued, and supported in their schools and communities.

We’re encouraging as many local schools as possible to get involved through two exciting initiatives:

1️⃣ Secondary School Poster Competition

  • Who: 11–18 year olds

  • Prizes: £100 Amazon voucher for the winning entry and featured on our social media during Children’s Mental Health Week

  • Details: Secondary schools in the area have already received competition information. If your child/young person hasn’t received it yet or would like to participate, contact us at youth@zgbtst.org for submission details.

2️⃣ Free Primary School Workshops

  • When: Week beginning 2nd February 2026

  • Facilitator: Amy from the Zachary Geddis Trust

  • Focus:

    • Increasing children’s sense of belonging

    • Exploring and expressing feelings

    • Building empathy and kindness

  • What children will do:

    • Talk about their emotions

    • Learn how to support each other

    • Practice small acts of kindness that make a difference for themselves, others, and their communities

All activities aim to raise vital funds for our Little Superstars service, which supports essential mental health care for children.
